A rowdy bar patron struck a Franklin Police Officer.

On October 7, 2019 at about 11:15PM Franklin Patrols responded to ‘Koz's Korner’ for a report of an unwanted patron creating a disturbance.

Upon patrol’s arrival they found a female, later identified as Kasey Mulligan, 32, of Franklin intoxicated and lying on the ground outside of Koz's Korner in the rain surrounded by bar patrons, who reported she had attempted to assault several other bar patrons. Mrs. Mulligan was flailing her limbs and yelling in a belligerent manner. Upon noticing Franklin Patrols, Ms. Mulligan became confrontational with additional patrons and officers on scene. Ms. Mulligan was initially placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. As she was being placed under arrest, she resisted arrest.

While in custody Ms. Mulligan threatened officers, telling them they were going to "catch these fists" referring to assaulting them. Ms. Mulligan than struck Officer MacQuesten in the chest and lower stomach/groin. Officer MacQuesten did not receive medical treatment after being assaulted.

Kasey Mulligan was charged Monday with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was also charged with a municipal ordinance for maintaining a nuisance on commercial property.
