man took woman's credit card, racked up $5K in purchases

The victim reported that an unknown individual had taken custody and control of a credit card without her knowledge and used it, charging merchandise over $4,819.08.

Detectives discovered the male utilizing the credit card at various locations throughout Franklin Borough and Sussex County NJ. The male was identified as David R. Haberthur, 36, of Franklin NJ.

On Monday October 29, 2018 Detectives made contact with David R. Haberthur on Skyview Drive in Franklin NJ. He was placed under arrest and transported back to Franklin Borough Police Headquarters for processing.

Mr. Haberthur was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and theft.
