Wantage woman accused of making bomb threats to McDonald's, employee

Chief Gregory Cugliari announces the arrest of 26, year old, Amanda Toth, of Wantage, NJ on several charges including causing false public alarm. On February 11, 2019 at approximately 9:33 AM, the Franklin Police Department received a call from the franchise owner of the Franklin McDonald’s on State Highway 23, reporting that he had received a bomb threat via text message, specifically threatening the McDonald's located on State Highway 23 in the Borough. Amanda Toth was found to have utilized an application disguising her cell phone contact information in an effort to impersonate another making the threats. Toth was found to have made the threats. Amanda Toth was charged with, causing false public alarm, identity theft, and cyber harassment. She was processed and lodged in the Sussex County Jail pending central judicial processing.
